Hi peeps, I have to get 4 new tyres and im wondering would it be cheaper just to get tyres or would it be better just to get new rims and tyres, plus maybe safer because lower profile etc. Thoughts?

What is the consensus here about "reset of base idle" after battery disconnection? I've read mixed views, with some saying it must be done (hooking up to a scanner and adjusting it) and some saying no need and the ECU will figure it out automagically. What's the real position?
